my LS1 FD drag racing getting wheel hop vid
check out all the pics and vid here:

i only got 1 pass and got severe wheelhop; too dumb to let out of it. i launched at 4000 rpm dropping the clutch, like i used to do on my stangs and fbody. i guess that doesn't work on the FD. it was with MT ET Street Radials 255-50-16 15 psi.
my next run was aborted because the exhaust pulled apart after the y pipe merge collector.
so i'm thinking of getting something like new lower control arms with rod-ends. and a diff brace like:
http://www.kgparts.com/brace.htm
will that diff brace fit with the hinson torque arm?
next time out, i'll try different launch technique; lower RPM and slipping clutch (even though its hard to slip this mcleod rev lok II).
[self praise]I love i how dusted that big bad buick even with my crappy launch and that being my first time on the track with this car. Sleepers rule! [/self praise]
