Moving alternator and AC question on a SBC 305

So I have a 305 SBC on a Grannys kit from an 88 Firebird in my FC. Not new to cars but relatively new to GM powerplants.

-Anyone know what goes/is supposed to go in the bracket with the yellow arrow? I was thinking AC compressor but from what I can tell it sits higher based on google images
-Thoughts on moving the pulley and alternator with the red dots? Currently they hit the hood so the previous owner cut holes in the hood to make them clear. I have a new to me stock hood and am looking to get them to fit with out cutting it. From what I have read low mount alternator brackets interfere with the PS rack.

Thanks for confirming what I was thinking it could be. Now if only there were a way to relocate that tensioner
