Id reccomend swaping an ls2 over the ls7. the power outputs modded isnt much differnce to justify the cost. with that said the parts list is as follows:

Depending on your power goals/budget for the engine Id reccoment buying a Heads/cam package from texas-speed.com you will also want to get a larger throttle body and intake manifold, oil pump, and rod bolts. there are so many other possible upgrades that really depend on what you want as far as power- your goals, what the car will be used for and budget. I can help with reccomendations if you need.

Hinson offers a complete kit but to be honest you will need to buy more than that. Try to buy a t56 out of a Fbody (98-02 trans am or camaro). also try to buy the engine you want complete with PCM and harness/all sensors. If you go LS1 you could get a complete drop out of engine/trans from a 98-02 f body. I would reccomend the late 99 or newer LS1 for building over 500 hp because of better oiling passages. you could also get a full drop out of a GTO but it will require a little more as far as the trans goes (I believe $150ish) which is pennies in a bucket if you do the swap

Mounting equipment- can be purchased from granny's, hinson, or others. There are advantages to both. Id reccomend Hinson because you can use your stock hood without a cowl though.

subframe
trans mount brace
drive shaft
torque arm
bump steer kit

Cooling:
radiator, hoses etc.

fuel system:
lines, pump, regulator, filter

Exhaust:
Up to you. Stock manifolds, headers etc. I have a full custom dual exhaust made

custom Clutch master cylinder/ line

if you want power steering you will need some braided lines and adapters

custom Trans tunnel cover\

Steeda chifter arm (to locate shifter in center of FD hole.- ford t56 shifter ball

depending on the LS you chose (1,2,3,7 etc) your wiring needs will change.
If you want factory gauges to work you will need the mazda oil pressure sender which will thread right in and the mazda coolant temp sender which you will have to use an adapter/tapp threads on the ls block
you will need to either relocate your battery to the bins or use a small *** lightweight batter under hood. most choose (as did I) to relocate battery into the bins.

I can help with any questions you have on the swap and ways to save $$ by buying parts from sources other than hinson....

I have also completed the swap and you will learn that after you do it once the second time is a breeze. If youre looking for easy then buy the whole kit. I will warn you that if your electrical knowledge isnt really good that plan on paying a shop to do the custom maping for you- hinsons harnessess are NOT plug and play and still require alot of work/time.

plan on spending 20,000 to do everything right!!!!!

pretty much what adrenaline junkie said... I went LS1 due to at that time LS6's... were LS1's with different cam/heads, which the cam I switched at purchase time, and the heads I was going to replace after a bonus or some other midlife crisis...

I have a stock tuned 02 camaro ss motor with the T56 trans, and making (untuned) 306 to the wheels, and 301 torque, at a dyno event where they threw the car up for free because it was a rotary event and they were curious... :P

With the cam and some trickflow heads I should be able to make 425 - 450 which was my original goal, but so far it smokes the tires where it counts, and in Los Angeles it's not easy to break triple digits, not to mention dual digits...

All my gear came from Hinson's and has performed well. (4 Years on my build).

What you want to do with the body is PURE personal taste, some like the FD, others need to muck with a lot of it, good body work is always $$ and over time ages poorly if driven often. So you may want to consider major bodywork...
