LS1 w/6speed into 2g Rx7

Hey guys,

Im about to attempt this swap and was wondering were you had gotten your engine and transmission mounts( I know of Hinson Supercars and am Currently talking to them) from? I wouldn't think that they would be more then $200 bucks. No one is willing to show a picture of the mounts either.

What wiring changes are needing to be done? I know the engine harness(passenger side, and computer) are removed and the drivers harness is trimmed up a bit.

The engines and tranny's I see on ebay go for about $3000-$6299.

Anyone know where to get a better deal on the motor, tranny and all engine accessories and wiring.

Anyone have some good pics on a LS1 completed swap(already seen wrongmotor.com car) and price breakdown.

Thanks

RT

For a good cheap engine, and all the accessories, I would watch like collector car trader, ebay, and places like that. And just watch for wrecked corvettes.

Also I don't know if you have thought about it, but if you have that much money to spend on the motor, you can just get a 350-400 block, and get all the parts (like rotating assembly, heads, cam, ..... so on) from summit, jegs, speedway motors, and all that, and get a holly fuel injecton system. And probably have a higher HP motor that you would get from a vett/camaro.

Just a thought...

And make your own motor mounts!
