Maybe he did better, or perhaps he got 1.13 turning 1 direction and less the other way and it was averaged. Or possibly they went three times and averaged them. I'll have to go find my copy of the magazine.

It's more like 51/49. This subject has been beat to death. So has the unaffected handling, the increased torque, the increased hp, the increased reliability, the increased fuel mileage, and the increased "holy **** what's in that thing?" factor.

www.torquecentral.com has a V8 RX7 section (mentioned earlier in this thread). It's all you need to know. Sign up, spend some time searching, ask questions you can't find the answers to (every angle has been covered but sometimes a search doesn't find what you need).

I finished my swap last Wednesday and I got a lot of that on Sundays autocross.

Yea, I had mine out Saturday night and the T-type I pulled away from had a couple confused occupants. The passenger started hanging out the window saying "that ain't no rotary, is it?"
