Hey Kevin, i keep looking into your thread for updates lol. Inspiring work again. I was wondering for your Delrin bushings, i cannot remember if you installed zerk fittings in them...pretty sure you have esp. with the extensive details in your build.
My question when installing the zerk fittings, does the hole extending into the actual delrin bushings themselves? or do they stop at the control arm material only? reason being is i see that the delrin have internal grooves in them and im wondering if the hole extends to the metal insert in the bushings? Thanks in advance |
I did drill the hole after I installed the bushings. The grease fitting would do no good if it did not break into the grease groove on the ID of the bushing.

It does make sense, thanks for the confirmation Kevin. Keep up the top notch work!!

Wish I cold see the pictures
Your thread is very detailed and informative, for some reason the pictures would
not come thru so it was not possible to actually "see" what you were describing. |
Amazing thread, and fantastic work! Massive amount of fabrication in this thread, and just looking at this thread makes me want to go LS1/6. Thanks
|
i know this is alittle old...but amazing work!
|
yeah.... some impressive skill set you have there.
Seem like you have full access to machine-shop tools... I'm sure that makes life dandy LOL. question about your shifter... you're HAD the GTO shifter plate (which goes into the t56); would I be able to use the same shifter plate on a t56 from an f-body? (trying to prevent the hacking of my chassis LOL) Or, do I need to use a MGW shift kit? |
Very awesome and well thought out build :icon_tup:

|
Quite a build alright! motor and tranny were how much?? had to be atleast 5000, then an FD in that condition is what? 14,000? time, parts labor, your own house to do the work in lol id call you a rich guy. Im from California though and with all our rules and regulations here were all poor.

I love the build but... Didn't you just throw the engine out of balance by cutting the pistons like that? Usually valve reliefs would be done before balancing the assembly.

i love this.
I'll be studying this thoroughly. Good work |
I like the blue 79!
