how hard is it to put the ls1 in a FD ?

ok so i have recently put all my cars up for sale and had thoughts of starting something new, i could not decide on weather i would attemp to do a ls1 in an FD or a kouki 240sx. i have alot of the info gathered on how to do the 240 but i might be able to find an FD shell. how hard is it really to mount the motor in there and having it run right ? so after i build the motor and what not i should have about 3500 to try and mount the motor with all wiring done and what not. is it possible ? whats a good quality kit to mount that sucker on? there any pain in the a$$es about mounting it ? any space to work on i t?

Hinson Supercars, Jags that run, and Jimlab are the three major people who sell the swap. It goes for about $1,200 not counting the radiator, wiring, battery relocation, etc. Your $3,500 may be enough as long as you are able to do a good majority of the work

And as posted above, v8rx7forum. com will be you friend for info. This site is predominately filled with rotor heads.

For the record, I'm not selling parts anymore.

Justin Samberg (see his vendor sub-forum on V8RX7Forum.com) has a Cobra IRS differential kit and now an engine cradle kit (LS1, 2, 6, 7) based off my designs and has had no issues with manufacturing (welds failing, for example) or delivery of parts. He also has what is probably the best transmission mount, and a conversion kit if you want to keep your stock differential that eliminates the powerplant frame.

Talk to Justin if you want conversion parts for an FD.
