getting nervous! lt1 with a t56
ok here is the deal! i just got my t56! still need a bell housing for it, but i am taking my motor out this weekend because it is going to be warmer out! i don't know what look for and all! but what i need to know is what do i need to keep on my 13b motor or off the wiring harness? let me know what you guys have done! the motor is an lt1 with a t56 and the car is a s4 tII

Keep your charging harness intact as well as your oil pressure and water temp harness intact. Go ahead and set those senders aside as well.
To be safe, unplug the harnesses and don't cut and trim ANY wires until it's running and all your circuits are working
Good luck finding a bellhousing. You can find trannies all day long, but the bellhousings are hard to come by. Don't forget to get the clutch slave spacer plate as well.

It's a block of aluminum that goes where the clutch slave goes. Due to the style of clutch and throw out bearing, the clutch fork needs to be engaged with the throw out bearing after the transmission and engine have been mated together. The aluminum block is the access window to do that.
Without it, the clutch slave won't have anything to seat against.

thanks for the info one more for you where can i get this and about how much does it cost? because it looks like i am going to have to go to gm to get a housing but it is ok i can do that and do i need to get that part from gm also?
