can the stock 80 differential take the beat?

can the stock 80 differential take the beat?

so im going soon v8 on my 80. its going to be a 5.3 chevy engine crate with a T-56 trans. i was wondering can the stock differential take the load of the power and torque?? if it doesnt, ill just go with a ford 8 inch.

No! Unless you are still running little tires and never plan on traction . Specially with a stick .I would go 8.8 lots of parts newer rangers have bigger axles and disc brakes . Auto you would probably be ok for awhile
