This is my first post but I have been reading and searching for the last several days. I'll still be as short & sweet as possible. My good friend has ask for my help to complete his 1993 RX7/LS installation that began about four years ago with the purchase of a complete swap kit from Hinson Supercars. All the wide body parts have been installed and all the paint work is done. Enter me. Last week we installed the engine, transmission and misc. small stuff like hood cable, brake lines and so forth. We plan to finish the brakes and suspension work next. Most everything left is self explanatory except for the ECU wiring. The LS engine came from a GTO so I've been told it is an LS2. Are we facing a wire by wire, "cut and splice" situation for the ECU installation? Does the ECU from donor GTO get wired to the original RX7 ECU or does the RX7 ECU get eliminated and the GTO ECU get wired directly into the RX7's wiring harness? Perhaps my questions are elementary because this wiring work has to have been done by all those who have done this RX7/LS conversion before me, but at this point, I really need some good advice . Where can I find posts with wiring information I need for the job ahead? Thanks, "Stumped", Tom B.
