Truck pan will not work unless you heavily modify it. You will need an F body pan.
I purchased the wiring from a guy whos speed shop went under...

One thing I have to say about the car now that I have had it on DD duty the last few weeks. It actually runs and drives remarkably well. Now that the rough edges are mostly smoothed out it is not different than driving any other car, except when nailing the throttle or hitting a curve. It has been very reliable and has been getting decent fuel mileage. The ride is about as good as some newer cars I have driven (Stock T2 suspension), feels well planted and not on the verge of losing control like I had expected.
Only complaint I have is there is far to much road noise going on. Need to pick up some sound deadening material and install it over trouble areas.

Bored, so I figured it was time for a quick recap after the first 3000 miles.
Car has been very fun, gets driven every day, rain or shine. New tires took care of the majority of my road noise . My stock truck engine mixed with the FC chassis was enough to run similar times to the C5 vettes around the road course. Nothing has broke yet, even after several weekends of serious abuse, but the stock NA rear is sounding like it has hit the end of the line. We shall see how long it continues.
Only down side is that the car does not look great and manages to get vandalized almost any time I park in a lot. Never have had a car get vandalized as much as this one! Glad now that I did not spend any money on a nice paint job. Could care less about the vandalism, the only one that really pissed me off was when someone tried to break in the drivers door lock with a flat head screw driver, now I can no longer lock it with a key and have to lock it from inside.
Plans for the future will be a cam swap, headers and some better flowing mufflers. Maybe over the winter an aluminum block swap to cut front end weight.
As it sits now!

I suppose no news is good news.
Still driving it every day. Still having a great time with it.
I changed from having an open PCV system to a closed system. Brazed a nipple onto the intake tube and sealed it all up. Probably spend a little more time over the winter making it look nicer. It definitely idles better now, plus no more fumes after a nice hard beating. Other than that I have only really had to do general upkeep. Been very low maintenance.
I have decided to not do anything major to it until winter comes around. Then it will get the T2 rear diff(NA is sounding real rough these days), Mandeville style front brake setup, typical LS engine mods, and if I feel froggy an aluminum block swap(Not likely).
