Headers came in today, they fit pretty well actually with the motor on the hoist, time to start making the motor mount now, that however probably won't be done till after the vacation

I had headman long tubes from a 79 mustang at first had to modify #7 tube to clear the steering box . I then lowered the engine to get a little more hood clearance , cut the collectors off the long tubes and welded them on some shorties for ground clearance they fit much better but still had to dimple the tube . Eventually i would like to go to rack and pinion to gain clearance for equal length shorties . My advice would be to install the engine slightly off centre. Incase you do have the same issue with your headers . Have fun and post pic's if you can

yes they did fit, I had to offset the motor to the pass side slightly to clear the steering box. never got around to finishing the car though. have just picked it up again now

You may find that the headers will fit OK in the engine bay but then again you are going to have to worry about ground clearance.
I just did an FC and the clearance is scary.I may not even get out of the park due to the streets having speed bumps..so the car will look Beautiful but may not be movable..haha!

How did you offset the engine? Do you have any photos? I need a CARB legal header to pass smog and I really don't want to use those ridiculous looking stock manifolds.

Any progress on your build? What mount kit did you use? I am curious about the headers fitting and having to offset the engine.
