Just curious what your guys' thoughts are regarding this beast. I'm not a fan of it, personally, but I will definately respect the fact that it is bat-$h1+ crazy/fast.

I don't care for the hole in the hood, but it definitely gets respect from me, that thing is a beast!

Nice car, I'd like it if they bothered to put the effort forth to fit that under the hood.

That's what I have the hardest time with!... A carburator? a distributor? Put into a car that used to have electronic fuel injection, and an ecu? That just seems to be a step in the wrong direction if you ask me... Although the huge power and torque numbers are definately a step in the right direction.

I like it. Dirty and raw. Stroker 383's are cheap and easy to come by. The guy probably didn't want to source out an EFI kit or a newer LS series V8 and go broke.

Looks like its now for sale in new hampshire.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-Black-Mazda-RX-7-R1-w-SuperCharged-383-Stroker-V8-/181106493378?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2a2ac9c7c2
hehe, this description is a must read! Its honest and hilarious:

"Check out this feature on the car, it'll elaborate more so I do not have to repeat myself. Go to Bangshift . com and it's currently the article on the main homepage.

I don't really know how or where to begin writing a description for the car, it's just a ridiculous and pointless car.

I have a black 93 RX7 R1 with a Supercharged 383 Stroker. Lost traction on the dyno at 843rwhp. Built Turbo400 3 speed transmission that came out of a 1700hp Drag car, it blew two T56's transmissions in the past before going this route. Q45 limited slip for the rear which is also the same as a 300zx TT rear end. 300zx brakes. 4" exhaust. 5% tint and 20% tint on front windshield. Evo seats.

Cons: The whole car unless you want to use it how I have... Burnouts, scare EVERYONE, roast through tires hourly, smile on your face when you start it up, make cool black designs in the pavement to look at in your future commutes.

Most of the time it's .1MPG, Audio replaced with earplug container, Windshield is permanently cracked from the occasional lifting of the front end, front bumper spray painted, etc.

Save the "you ruined another rotary RX7" crap bc I really do not care, nor do I care if I sell this but I don't have a need for it and as always... have too many toys. I'm not really interested in answering a million questions about this car, you either want it for what it is or you do not. "

130,000 miles.
starting bid is only $6,000.00
Auction ends Mar 26, 2013

Id be interested in hearing about the q45 diff swap. Other than that it seems hastily thrown together, but bad *** none the less.

the editor is a pole smoking rotary hater

and

it was a little ironic that it probably smoked a head gasket(s) with the undersized radiator. (aluminum heads on a cast iron block are just as feasable to blow out as coolant seals in a rotary if you overheat it even once while pushing that kind of power) common problem when modifying cars? yep, especially rotaries. so you'd think they'd try to do everything right.

the car is kind of cool, i like the madd maxx SC sticking out of the hood, but maybe i bit a little too much on the anti rotary comment.

power output is fantastic. but the car is thrown together. take a close look at the hole in the hood and you can tell.

Would make a cool drag car, although it prob needs alot in the way of upgrades not to destroy itself under that power output.
You can't argue with how much HP its putting out. Old school or not.
Are there better ways to do it? Of course! But everyone has a budget and still we all want more power and performance.

For the money it wasn't the worst thing I've seen. I just wouldn't expect much as it sits besides bragging rights down at the local dyno.
