2jz rx7
2jz rx7
I know this is not a V-8 related question but I don't know where else to ask...
'm currently in talks with someone who's selling a 2jz RX7 and will most likely buy it, However. Through my research, I realized that the stock hood will not close with a 2JZ Engine since it's too high, but I read that some people develop their own subframe so the engine sits a bit lower to allow a stock hood, is this true?
I'm asking because I'm interested in adding a Veilside bodykit and I don't really want that bulk in the hood like the tech2's hood but I also don't really want to move the steering rack and cause bumpsteer issues..
Thanks for reading!

hi well on my build which you can look at i ended up building a full frame and still needed to do some hood work but if i had not used a big air cleaner i would be fine but the only thing is i sat the motor back a little to clear the pulleys at the rack . hope you get it worked out . good luck
