is that turbo? s4 or s5? I haven't ran my '88 GXL, but I had a '87 SE (non-turbo, s4) that would only do like 16.2, lol. I'm pretty sure you'd have to have turbo and maybe even have to be an S5 (89-91) to run those times. Either way, good times for a stocker.

Just from reading that its stock and it has a Mazda Spec claim of 15.2, I came to the conclusion that it was a TII, anyone else???

intake and turbo back exhaust and you will be looking at 13.8
and dont say B.S. people i have seen it done and if you dont think so then learn to drive
not you project but other ppl
i see people on here with so many mods and barely hitting 13's its funny cause i have seen numerous people hitting 13's and 12's with intake exhaust fmic and removal and of course fuel pump but still 5 small mods and 12's or low 13's lol
others are struggling to hit 13's with aftermarket turbos its kinda funny it could be the car but i think its the driver

I did too.

The time sounds good to me. 14.9 seems reasonalbe if you had a 1/4 tank, a skinny driver, raced at low altitude on a cold day with some random junk(spare tire and jack) removed.

ProjectRE- Does your car have P/S and A/C?

Judging by your Rxn time and 60', I'd say that your car is capable of running a few tenths of a second lower. Damn!! your car is fast for being completely stock.

Ok well I got a 86 RX-7 bare blocked and no cat converters, i live in wyoming where emissions dont matter, its all stock, base model power nothing but the power sunroof manual rack and pinion steering, does anyone have an est 1/4 for it? i was hoping to be a little under 16 at sea level

My TII was running 13.4's with a stock turbo at 6000ft elevation, so it isnt unheard of. But my car only weighs 2600lbs..

i ran a 15.9 in my 88 base -- no power steering pump or ac, interior completely gutted(ac, heater core, tar, radio, glovebox), stock exhuast and intake

i would of ran a 12 in that same run and i ran faster then my e/t cus when let go of the clutch the rpms dropped to 2k and bogged of the line. all i did was push the clutch rev to 7k and doped the clutch and keep going think i was going to run slow and i ran quicker then my qualifying run which was previously a 13.7

I plan of doing a mild hybrid, rtec 1.7, exhaust (already on there), intake, and FMIC. I was hoping to run mid/high 12's with good tires on the back. I think it is very achievable. What do y'all think?
