first 1/4 mile run on my TII

i went to the sacramento speed way on wed. and i got to run my car for the first time. my best time was 15.8 at 90mph and my et was .048
is this good, average, or poor for my 87 TII the only mod is a k&n intake. i also ran with my subs in there so there was some extra weight

you should be hitting around 15 sec flat. What condition is your motor in? Compression #s? How many miles on it, and is it original motor?

all of that shouldnt make your car run that slow. I am guessing you have low compression or you really can't drive for **** and your tires are really shitty. No offense. Even if you can't drive that fast, I still think you would do better than 15.8. And how the heck did you do a 60 ft time of 5-6 secs?

LMAO!!! I was thinking the same thing. I tell ya what. If ya can get your 60 ft time down to about 2 seconds or so youll really be laying down an awesome time. But seriously man...I think youve misunderstood or something. Theres noway you had a
6 sec 60 ft time unless you idled through the lights. Go back over your timeslip dude and look for the 60 ft time. Also, what did you mean by this? "my et was .048"
Did you mean your reaction time? Your reaction time has nothing to do with your E.T. just so you know. Hope that helps.

I believe he said his 0-60 time was 5-6 seconds... not his 60ft time. I don't think a stock TII with a new air filter will run 0-60 in 5 seconds... or 6...

scan your timeslip, then we'll tell you how to improve it.

Your 60' time and what RPM you shift at are the two biggest factors in 1/4 mile times.
