88 tII BNR Stage 4

I went Haltech PS 1000 made 222whp on 6psi hopefully the boost turns up soon would be happy with upper 300s. The car right now is pretty quick. Still needs alot of tuning and some fat tires lol. tune was done by tony at T and R Racing in queens,NY.

its a large street port with manifolds matched. 1000cc primaries and 1680 secondaries. car still needs alot of tuning

I would be very dissapointed with that because I know you spent alot of money. I made 217whp with basically only exhaust intake and fuel pump.

Now with ps1000 and a hybrid turbo and other mods (see sig) I am making 299 whp on 10 psi. I think you need to go to a different tuner. Why did he do a 3rd gear run and not 4th? Keep us updated on new numbers because I know you will make more once you work out the kinks.

a BNR stage 4 works best at 16-18psi.

yeah I should be turning the boost up after halloween. Need to get some bigger tires and do a few other things will keep you guys posted. How much power are you guys making?
It idles @700-900 and cruises just fine. It needs alittle more tuning under partial throttle but thats all. Tony actually recommended me to switch to 4x1680, but im choosing to keep my setup at the moment. After I get new wheels and some other misc., I am plannig on sumping and redoing the fuel system system

my car makes 296whp/250rwtq at 12psi with 720x2 and 880x2 with a knight sports rf320 turbo(hybrid) and rtek 1.8

also my car made 273whp on a stock turbo at 12psi with a street port.

those are all dynojet SAE corrected numbers, i still have headroom with my injectors...runs mid 10s AFR at WOT. using a stock Evo 9 fuel pump.

I just made 313 whp and 247 wtq last night with mods in sig. I did not realize you were only at 6psi, 222 whp really is not that bad at 6psi imo. But I would deffinetly bump up the boost, I mean why not you know?

at 12 psi. It deffinetly keeps my attention lets say that. It is very fun to drive. Yeah I think with 9's in front you will have to roll the fenders and with the 10's in the back I think you will have to as well.

+25x10 will need a roll...
numbers are low for all the mods but only at 6psi your stepping on your own foot. you have plenty of fuel as is, tuning definatly needs to be addressed. 14psi should be no problem with current mods and get in a hell of alot better range on the hybrid.

guys,
I made 291 to the wheels corrected at 14lbs last night in the 70degree shop had to of gained like 10 hp when I left the shop at 40 degrees outside. He had the car on the dyno for a few hours car pulls sick. I need to change my coldside charge pipe and my air filter its restricting flow in a couple weeks ill upgrade to the ls2 coils and retune for drivability should make a world of difference in a couple months i take off the mbc and have him tune in my profecb2 and turn up the boost some more ill post my sheet when I get home

I think you need a new tuner...Tuners choice is extremely important. A 100,000 dollar engine will never be **** without the proper tuner. LArge street port at 14 psi on yur turbo should net you around 320 whp at the least.

You better know how many rotaries he has tuned.. are you better know the results for each of those cars... DOnt ever just llet someone tune your cars just because they tune hondas and evos... It is whole diff ball game.

Agreed. I would recommend Dave at KDRotary in PA. He did my car and I made 331whp at 10psi on a BNR stage 3. I had cheap boost controller problems so I'll be going back for 15psi tune. His prices and rotary know how are amazing great guy. Good luck.

sorry if I missed this but do you have the stock top mount still? Nice numbers but I agree with everyone else, you can get more. How does she feel?

car feels good, we didnt tune it for hp , its a conservative tune theres a little stumble when the secondaries come on thats it illl go back in a couple of weeks and hell tune it out im confident in my tuner.

10yearrx7 are the ls2 coils your running ac delco #D585? where did you get pigtails?

Conservative is the way to go for reliability imo. I wanted a conservative tune but i also wanted 300 whp so my wants contradicted themselves lol.

I'm really not sure. I am learning more and more as I go along.

So why are you going with LS2 coils? FC coils are supposed to be some of the best.

junito stfu, who are you? what makes you so special? Tony is a rotary specialist his whole shop is filled with drag sevens his whole street is full of rx7s. Hes good friends with waynespeed a reknown wolf specialist, who I have personally met at his shop so just stop...
I have full confidence in his tuning ablities.
ls2 coils are supposely the best. They have there own ignitors built in unlike the FC coils which allows to indepedenty fire them. I was told it will make a decent difference.
10yearrx7 are those your coils part# ac delco D585? where did you get pigtails?
