higher the compression the less timing you want to run
and at anything over 14-15 PSI you better be using race gas....

love your car lee
keep up the good fight
I hope to join you soon in the 10 second club
thats till you skip me and join the 9 second club.... hehe :D

driveshaftshop has some chromoly axles shafts for our cars btw

thanks too everyone, YOU are on the nail w/ timing. I don't run very much cuz the
engine setup really dosent need it. but I will go into a lil more detail, I run alot in
vac & lower boost then take away and flatten it accross the board. so when I say
i don't run alot of timing I mean in higher boost levels.jus like KABOOSKI was sayin
so w/ that said it's about 38 deg in vac and tapers down to 15deg @ about 15 psi
this is a mild timing setup, more aggressive would be about 1deg retard from 1psi
and so on.(23 deg @ 15psi) now to the CORKY BELL manifold,it is a old back n the
day manifold.iv'e had this manifold for about 8 yrs.

hey KABOOSKI, are you running the driveshaftshop axles?
looks like i'll be giving them a call. becuz i'm gonna spray
the car SOON !!!!!

kabooski 01-03-05 10:33 PM

not yet

since I have extra axles :D
but I slip the clutch of the line a bit giving less shock on the drivetrain

1.61 60' on ET streets on stock suspension

I just finished upgrading my fuel system
and I'm ready to turn up the boost

ran 11.7@119 @ 14 PSI on a T66
now got a PT67

going to crank it up to 22 PSI in a couple of weeks at the Dyno
see what she can do

ARE you running 1 or 2 fuel pumps? i'm running 2 walbro 255lph in tank pumps
feeding it w/ -8 inlet fuel lines,-6 return line w/ a s/x (fpr)

nice time w/ LOW boost KABOOski !!!!!!!!

kabooski 01-06-05 03:52 PM

Yep same here 2 walbro's

left the orginal feed line
and just ran another -6AN line to the firewall
and then I used a Y fitting at the firewall that goes -8AN to the custom rails
also exiting thru a SX FPR
still using stock return

I only use the other pump after I hit a certain boost amount

ORIGINAL FEED LINE, don't you think that is TOO small? reason i would ? that is b cuz the reason i'm using 2 pumps is b cuz of volume. i know you will have pressure (alot of it) but you also need volume. not tryn to start n e thing jus puttin my 2 cents.

I see your point

the way I see it

The -8AN Fuel Line coming out of the Y should have both flow and sustained pressure feeding the Fuel rails
The MagnaFuel Y fitting is
a 2 -6AN to a single -8AN

The line connecting the primary and secondary fuel rail is a -8AN
and these custom fuel rails are twice as large as the stock ones
I used before

I'll keep an eye on the fuel pressure guage as I increase the boost and injector duty cycle when I go to the Dyno soon..........

nevermind the slicon I used on the Fuel pump housing lid..hehe :D
I made the holea tiny bit too big and didnt wan't gas fumes

i would really love to see clips of your car running street/track...whatever...just show it...

rs_1101 01-13-05 01:01 AM

so its pretty much a drag setup right? any chance you could post a dyno so we can see the curve?

BDC 01-13-05 01:12 AM

Great stuff Lee and Kabooski. Can't wait to see your car at the track, Lee!

Yeah we need some video with sound. Love to hear it!

Sideways7 01-15-05 10:25 PM

Wow, car sounds awesome. Glad your experience with Hass went better then mine, he fucked me over big time.

Not Stock 01-28-05 05:29 PM

Wow, Rotary Performance screwed me hard, and Haas has been the best- cool guy
I would deduce that RP would do a good job for you, plus they are close to you.
I know alot of people get good work there. I guess it was the 'pistons rule, rotors
drool' t- shirt I had on that pissed 'em off. One of these days when I'm drunk and
bored, I'll post what happened- it was a fucking boogeyman type nitemare.

tearbo2 04-30-05 02:28 PM

update!!!!!

TurboIIGuy 07-13-05 02:07 AM

Wow that is pretty insane......I didnt know a stock port could yeild somuch power but then again that is some really high boost levels....25psi??
wow..

Carl Byck 07-19-05 01:34 AM

I just made 506@25psi on a PT67 P trim, almost no porting(whatever that means ;) ) Anyway, conservative tune. My car is for road race, but I think there's 550 in it at the same boost with some more tuning. Cast mani, Ebay WG, all the trick stuff :D Here's a link to the dynos, double click on the images. The RPM are estimates from an overlay I did. Carl

very nice carl, are you using the the stock cas or are you using hall effect?
@ this level WE need to go w/ hall effect, i'm gonna start a thread on my new setup soon.
