1987 TII- Mostly Stock

I ran my 87 TII at the track this past Sunday. It has Racing Beat Turbo back exhaust with pre-silencer, Rtek 1.5, 255 lph fuel pump and an HKS BOV. Stock airbox, emissions, intercooler etc. Stock size Bridgestone Potenzas that are almost bald. I was only hitting around 7-8 psi at peak. Air temp was in the mid to high 70's. Here is my run.

R/T .334
60' 2.258
330 6.261
1/8 9.595
MPH 74.670
1000 12.424
1/4 14.833
MPH 93.96

I did spin all of 1st out of the hole. I had one better launch but I backed off the throttle(just a blip) to stock the wheel spin and ended up running a 15.2 My MPH were really consistant, all being right around 93-94 MPH.

his runs were very solid besides the loss of traction off the line. other than that, pretty damn solid.

Thanks Izzy, good meeting you. Yeah, I would have really liked to see a vid of the Starlet, I only got to see the aftermath.

^^^Thanks Project....i have no vids of my car yet but might get one soon. I have never seen a TII run a 14second 1/4 mile....that is accurate??? I've had three TIIs in the past and all ran 13s with exhaust but then again one had a VERY low mileage jspec engine and tranny that had perfect compression so it was in new condition with emissions removed and cold air intake....my other one had a big street port with port matched IM...and this one that i have now has ALL emissions removed which makes a big difference plus the stock TID and airbox is VERY restrictive and i do not have those on mine. so yea you guys are prob right about the 14 second thing

Its been years since I've been on this board. But I will also state, that is SLOW for a TII. The car is probably fine, you just need to get that 60ft down. I had an N/A stock port 86Base that went 14.6 and then 13.9 after a massive SP. Mind you this was a totally striped out car, no p/s or a/c. No interior other than seats and dash, ect.
