WOW!
That should've been a 12-second run...
Are you running extra heavy or problems shifting?

rx-7

the car has a turbo v-6 in it with auto trans so no gear shifting. the trans shifts itself, that way i dont miss a gear. the conversion is very easy, ck out misred.com, i did my conversion from that site. these car's are neat cars and easy to convert and the buick motor's are very reliable. ted ps: when i left the line it was off idle, with no boost. the car should run some mid 11's with the boost turned up and some sticky tires and have very nice manners on the street. I found out that 28-9-15 slicks wont fit with stock wheels, they rub the lower control arms.

ok ok enough already

ok so i'm a cheapskate and did not want to spend 10 gillion dollars to make the rotary motor run like that. i love 2 stroke engines and since the rotary's are basicly that. I love 250's and banshee's but the rotary's are not very depenable, that's why the body's are so cheap. the turbo v-6 is an awsome motor, since i have one in a 86 ttype why not. anyway u guy's should try it. ted

Sorry but I am thinking for around 2 grand you could easily be in the 12s with a TurboII. Thats 2 grand in mods not including the car. If you have to buy everything new than prolly add a grand or so to that. I am sure there are people who could even do it cheaper but for me it took about 2 grand. So no I dont think I will be trying a buick V6 in my car anytime soon.

How do you get 12s for 2 grand on a TII? I cant see that in my head. Low 13s yes, maybe a 13 flat. 12s? noooo

rotory power

were talking 11's here with some boost and some tires, not 12's. the 12's are easy, well i say they are. my buick we 10.61 and this car weighs 3000 with me in it, that's 500 lbs lighter and a .5 sec. The rotary are ok, but nobody in tulsa seems to know how to make them go fast cheap and keep them running. ted

Also so far the quickest and fastest RX7s are still running rotarys. Show me a RX7 faster than Siguels with a motor other than a rotary, hell I dont believe I have even ran across one that could beat RX7.coms "street car" LOL. If you buy a set (4) of used 720cc injectors for $300, a used BNR stage 3 for $500, a ebay MBC for $20, A ebay FMIC make your own pipe for a total of $400, Walbro FP for $100 and a used RB turbo back exhaust for $400, then a used SAFC for $175 ,and a used FCD for $40. So your right it took $2235.00 More than 2K for me, but I am guessing someone could pull it off for under 2k. I spent $235 more than 2k. So I can run 12s and still be running the smallest motor at the track. I have not even dynoed tuned this thing yet.

turbo

Well i tell u what, i have a 88 gxl turbo v-6, 89 rx-7, 87 turbo 2, 86 2+2 and i just bought an 87 turbo 2 that i am going to kansas to pick up today so send me some parts and we will see what we can get the turbo car to run, well the motor is not running now so i guess we can take the motor from the 89 and put a turbo on it and put in the 86 since it no power anything. the car has most of the turbo stuff on itk, all but the i/c. i'll give you my address so you can send the parts and we'll see how fast we can make it go ok, thanks ted
