Also, what injection kit do you use?
i use the SMC Injection Kit Plug and Play (http://www.rjcracing.com/SMC_Alcohol...injection.html )

Does that turbo really not spool until 4500 rpm or is that just when the dyno run started? Nice flat powerband once it (finally) hits
(we had to start the dyno run at 4000 rpm because the car would buck on the dyno at lower RPMs because of the compressor Surging)

Also, what ignition setup are you running?
Im running the factory Ignition run by the Haltech with MSD like box on the Leading Coil.
12 degrees @ full boost

What turbo are you running? It just says TO4R...what compressor wheel is in it?
It is a TO4R with water cooled. Non ball bearing with a P wheel Tangental housing with undivided inlet

Do you have anything to measure knock with the alcohol injection with those A/F ratio readings? Seeing a graph like this gives me more confidence about how well our engines are capable of running in a well tuned & well set-up condition.

If you note on the top right corner of the gragh, that 178 is the number dyno run in which we finally made that power. After 4 visits to the dyno and 178 dyno runs i hold the record for highest power on Pump fuel and most dyno runs on the same motor. Car has been built since October 2003 i would say thats reliable

is this a 50/50 mix of methanol and water, or straight up methanol?
No, I run straight Denatured alcohol from Home depot with Pump Lubricant

In the end, the alcohol injection lets us go a little higher on boost safely on pump fuel. The best part about this torque curve is that is all along the Power curve not just a peak and then off. this makes the car alot easier to drive and alot harder for the wheels to come loose unexpectatly. As for A/F Ratio 12 may be a little on the close side but the car was tunned in 65 degree weather which never happens here to begin with and with the alcohol injection i can turn up the pump speed on the alcohol and richen it up a little. I can see what the A/F is by the PLX.

Hope this answers most questions. ill be checking to see if there are anymore.

Thanks for the props guys, i really appriciate your sincere opinions.

You are not worried about crapping your alchohol setup? I mean, I would use the injection system to prevent knock and turn the boost slightly, but depending on it completely to use pump gas, not for me thank you. Just keep it in tip top shape. Also who built your engine, if you made so many runs, I would be interested to know who built such a strong engine

Just to clear things up and not start a spaghetti soup. when said "After 4 visits to the dyno and 178 dyno runs i hold the record for highest power on Pump fuel and most dyno runs on the same motor" I meant at the dyno shop where i tuned the car. Which is Twilite Performance in Opa Locka Florida. phone number is on the dyno sheet for info. as for the Tunner, His name is Al and he is a real good friend of mine who i know from back when i use to race karts. Really a perfectionists when it somes to his work and this is why i trusted him when it came time to make some power with this Rotary. As for the Motor I must give Credit to CLR Motorsports in Miami. Carlos Lopez Is a Local Rotary expert which many people may have thier opinions about. But i will be the first to say that as a neutral person that gets along with everybody. when you talk about Carlos Lopez U cant Say he does not know what he is Talking about. This Guys has been doing Rotaries for over 20 years and expierience lies in time and not in R&D (Rip Off and Duplicate) People who read this will know if this applies to them.

Ha!! yeah that was Mom's But the guy in the picture is not me. thats my cousin and he was telling people that was his car for the purpose of taking pics with the models. given that i could not do it because my wife was there (Passanger Seat) figure i would let him enjoy it.

i was in the background but dont think you can see me. This pic was me at Sebring on 12/4/04 when i took the car to the track. somewhat like Damian De la Huerta does

I recognize the car. At least the body kit. You went to Homestead for the Drift show right? Did some runs in the 1/8th mile? Awsome set-up.

Do you know the jet size or the flow amount of your alcohol injection setup?

Dyno sheet

about the dyno sheet the cross over is 6250 rpm while most sheets use 5250 rpm as a std. math formula using torque and RPM to figure HP, explain please. RON in daytona

Ron interesting point you make. But your explination is only true when it comes to the formula. Yes, the formula is to divide by 5250 RPM but this is only used to calculate HP from a torque number. This does not nessasairly mean that the lines are going to cross on that point on the Dyno graph. when u establish experience and start looking at a couple more dyno sheets for yourself, you will see this to be a fact. That my friend is a whole other class i dont have time for. I myself have better thing to do than to moch up a fake dyno sheet and then post it it so i can get off on other peoples comments. instead i choose to go out and drive the car which sits in my garage and spank those who have the time to sit on the computer and try to decifer some dyno sheet altering consperiacy. in any event i do appriciate your attention and post which brings my Thread back to the top forum.
