I don't have the thread link handy but John (forgetting screen name) from Jersey went 10.9's on twins and posted the time slip in the N.E. forum. I know many who have been 11's on the twins.

If you go to www.rxtuner.com and go to the articles and scroll down, you will see and article called "Evil Twins". I dont personally know the guy but he went like 10.9 on stock twins non-sequential. Pretty interesting article.

YES :-) 11's is definetely achievable on the stock twins.....mainly non-seq ones.

Just need the obvious required bolt-ons....injectors, fuel pump, intercooler, ECU upgrade, exhaust and so on....

I remember one of my friends showing me that post way before I joined this forum. The guy said he was going to rebuild his engine so he cranked up the boost and went to see how fast he could go in the 1/4 mile.

Weird, I don't remember ever saying or thinking that........

After running numerous 11.0-11.2's it was a matter of time and good traction, therefore I kept trying......and motor was still the same 'til early this year.

how much boost did you run? Were your twins modified (other than the essential non-seq. stuff)?

I just ran a 12.43 @ 114 with a 1.99 60 ft. on et streets. I'd like to go faster.

a series 7 in australia ran 11.2@121 on the stock sequential system. What's most shocking - did it on the stock fuel system (well, he swears that he did) - we worked that to be injector duty @ 99%

I'm well dubious, but there is vid and timeslip to back up the time

not sure if this link still works: http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forum...s/wsid_rx7.avi

Hmm... Very nice. What is the estimated (or known) hp/torque on this motor/setup? I'm very curious. Also what was the weight at time of racing?

EDIt: oops.... just saw your profile:

JD
94 White FD
*stock motor & turbos/pump gas*
-11.56@ 122 mph( Nitto drags)
-402 rwh-356rwt -dynoed

*Ported-motor/stock twins/pump gas*
-10.98 @ 122.9mph(ET streets)
-11.08 @ 125.3mph ( Nitto drags)

so were you making more power with the ported motor? enough to shave off that extra 0.58 seconds? Damn..... how long did that engine last you?

Ill be happy if I run low 12's with everything but a standalone to really run the poor turbos into the ground.

well i'm hoping to break into the 11's.

I'd like to know if 11's seem achivable with a mildly aggressive street tune up to not exceeding 15psi while on street tires. Completely new suspension bushings and balljoints.

Heres a full list of mods done to the car.

full non-seq twins w/ ported wastegate
mild street port w/ port matched UIM and LIM
full open 3" exhaust w/ APEXi GT Catback
Magnacor Plug wires
M2 Performance Carbon Fiber Intake w/ aluminum piping
ASP Large SMIC w/ Greddy Elbow
Koyo Radiator
1300cc Secondaries
Greddy Pully Kit
Greddy Strut Bar
ACT Street/Strip Clutch
APEXi Power FC
PLX Wideband
Greddy Profec Type S
Improved grounds w/ 10 gauge wiring

what kind of power do the guys who have been her before expect to be put down at 15 psi?
