Hey guys. I went to a dyno shootout yesterday at PFSupercars and put down more power than prior. I was pleased considering how much abuse this motor has gone through since the summer.

It would have made more if my ecu didn't reset itself at the top of the run dumping a ton of fuel in. THis summer Im adding 2 more fuel injectors so I can run more boost. Right now Im out of injector so I can't run anymore boost. We should hit over 800rwhp with the new setup.

Why did the boost fall off a bit then pick back up? Was that the fuel dump?

Not sure why the boost went up and down. It was only a few psi, but it would still loose about 20rwhp by doing that. I have an AVCR now, but will be going to the same boost controller Paul Efontis and other racers use. It was designed by Chris Rado, I believe.

I was at PF Supercars yesterday, and that dyno run was impressive.

Never met Ernie before, and he took the time to talk to everyone, and answer any questions we had.

ECU reset itself? Yikes, that's not good. Why would that happen?

Is it just me, or does 700+ rwhorse seem a little excessive for a street car ;) Congrats on the numbers and car. Care to comment on how much the build cost?

yah, its way too much power to use on the street, but its great bragging rights :)

all you need to make big hp #'s is a huge turbo @ about 30-34 psi, 4 160 lb injectors fed by the biggest fuel pump you can get your hands on and a good tuner, a bridgy helps too ;)

What's the name of the new boost controller you're going to run? I was interested in getting the AVCR... If you know of a better unit I would like to follow in your footsteps.

back in the day we used to race together in the street class (he ran his supra and really did daily drive it! on c16 too!!!) and party alot

that boost controller was years in the making, and is worth every penny,even if you have to pay retail

Nice but if you can't make the power on pump gas and pass emissions, its not really a street car is it? Still very impressive numbers.

I passed emmissions and do run pump gas of which I make 585rwhp. Thats old news!:Wconfused You wanna run that cobra, Ihor...:)

SO whats the best your car has laid down in the 1320? 60 foot? mph? You thinking about coming down this year for the Speed for Sale event? We could use a 9 second rotary!

I havn't got a clean pass yet, but my best et is a 10.04@144mph. My best 60' is a 1.42

Not yet, but I am sure someone will let you know as soon as a date is set up. It would be nice to have some nice rotary's this time around at the track. We had a great car for the road coarse but lacked in the 1320. Were the supras and Z's were running strong!

Yeah , I was at Steele for that one ... Supras owned the 1/4 mile that day ... hope to see THIS car there next time :)

That's amazing! I think good job is an understatement...

We are doing the event again in the fall with larger payouts this go round.:) We wanted to host another even in the Spring but with the release of the GTR coming out and we are in line to get 2 of them immediatey there will be a lot of testing and fabrication that needs to be done.

The event will be ran even smoother this year and hopefully we will have more fds. We paid for full race insurance on the road coarse this coming year which means we will have a time attack at the end of the day. Should have a decent amount of Supras, FDs, 300zxs, GTRs, and even a couple old school skylines. I would sure love for Ernie to bring his car, it would give us a good chance on the dragstrip and the FDS could almost clean sweep the event, we still need a 20b GT45r car to show up if we want a chance at winning the dyno competition.:)
