Hey guys, took the FD for the first time out to the dyno, we had some problems with the boost, We kinda knew it could happen since we have a pretty small wastegate (38mm) but we went anyways to see what happened. The car has a street port with a Borg Warner s366. Our plan was to run 15psi on 93 and were hoping for 350-375hp to use as a daily. Well it didn't went all that good. we really didnt had to many passes because at around 5300-5500 went from 15 to 20psi which we didnt want, the goal was to stay at around 15psi. We tried changing wastegate springs but it only lowered the boost till around the same rpm. after that went straight to 20 psi again. Car made 352hp at only 6000rpm but at around 20psi. we are hoping once we get it to be at 15psi and can use the whole rpm band it stays at around the same hp and we will be happy. It definitely needs some work to make it a nice linear graph, but it made no sense to keep running the car on the dyno until we fix the problem. Weather is relocating the wastgate or most probably going to a bigger one.

Just to clarify, we didnt go past 6k RPM because we didnt want to make full passes on 20psi

Who is doing the Tunning and what ecu, 352hp at 15 psi is a little low for a s366 at 8000 rpm, also 38mm wastegate is to small.

I had my car tuned and 17.4 psi had 438 at 7200 rpm on a mustang dyno that usually reads lower than a Dynojet like the one you tuned at STP.

352 was only to 6000 rpm. We never actually passed that point because i wanted to solve the boost issue. I can only speculate abiut what hp we will get at 15psi on a full pass anf thats why i said about the same. I will fix the wastegate issue and go back to the dyno. Hopefully get better numbers. Thanks for the numbers now i have something to compare it to. I will post new dynosheet when i go. Hopefully get good results.
