I have been looking for some rare old school wheels. Mainly 14 and 15 inch old school Japanese wheels. EBay seems over priced and not too many "rare" or ultra interesting wheels.

Does anyone here use Yahoo Auctions? I know you need to go through a middle man to use it . But I havnt found one that is all that easy to use.

Any good tips or clues on using Yahoo Auctions successfully is greatly appreciated.

 

Japanese shipping comes in three flavors.

the Japanese shipping companies charge by weight, which is different than the US where we charge by the size of the box. you are limited to 1.05 meter size, and i think like 22kg

they ship by air, which is expensive and fast. a magazine can be $10-15 to ship.

or you can go by boat, which takes 6-8 weeks, plus whatever port closure/strike we have here. a turbo manifold can be $10-15

the third is a container, which lets you ship big things like bumpers and wings and exhausts. downside is that you need to fill it, and its $$$$ to rent/ship

so for wheels, they need to not have tires, and sometimes the cool JDM wheels are light enough that air freight pencils out
