Why would you get smaller rims (width) than stock? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of getting wheels?

Hell yeah they will look gay, that' a downgrade. If you can't afford to play don't play at all. Do it once and do it right.

Yes.

However, having said that you could make them work "somewhat". If you used 10mm spacers with them, they would look decent from the side. From the rear, it won't look all that great as you'll see how skinny the wheels really are... I bring this up as there was an older FD owner local to me. He's never been on this forum, and I don't think is a huge car enthusiast. However, he does have an FD. Anyway, I saw his car out on the street and it had some very nice polished wheels. But when I got behind his car, I could see they were extremely skinny.

Most people won't notice or care, but the typical "sports car guy" looks for big fat tires on sports cars.

The fact that they have 215 width tires mounted on them should tip you off..... besides that (and I know wheel choice is a personal thing) they look damn ugly to me.

Wow so much hatred for wheel that's only .5" narrower than stock. I'm so sure everyone will notice that on the street. Anyways, 225-45-17 will still fit that wheel just fine. Hell even the stockers are tucked in a lot.

You can get much better wheels for the same price, there is no reason to rush into it. Just take a little more time and find something you will be much happier with.

wow those are overpriced...
if you're gonna buy garbage wheels for a car, theres plenty under 400 with tires.
