will these fit? can;t infd offset? how do i find out?

hey guys, i just bought some nice racing hart m5 rims 18X9.5 and 18X9.0 rims. I got a good deal on them and i forgot to ask the guy about the offset. How do i find them out and it doesn't seem to be wirttien anywhere on the wheel. He doesn't know either. what kind of offset should i be looking for ? A l;ocal shop said the front won't fit on 9 inch wide rims...the tires are also 245/40/18 all around for all 4 rims......what do u guys think?? how do i find the damn offset?

measure it , Anything with a +35-50mm offset should be fine and you can probally get away with a bit more then that. In anycase, you can always use a combo of spacers and extensions to make them fit (you would be amazed at what will fit if you want them to fit although they will might look kinda weird hehe). 9 inch rims shouldn't be a problem though. I wouldn't sweat it that much.

I disagree. First of all, spacers will create MORE of a problem if the wheels are too low of an offset.

For the fronts, you will need +45 to +50 offset to avoid rubbing. Some people have gotten away with +40, but that will most likely not work for most people. Also, that tire size is way too tall. You will need to run 245/35 or 255/35 on the fronts.

The rears will be fine with +38 to +50 offset. You can run 255/35 or 265/35 on those rims.

Other issues of concern -- do the wheels have a 5/114.3 bolt pattern? Do the wheels have a 67.1 mm center bore? If not, you should use a centering ring to help center the wheel on the hub.

Any decent wheel shop should be able to measure the offset for you. Or you can go to www.fikse.com or www.tirerack.com for their discussions on the subject to measure them yourself.

ET 34 with 8.5" is alright in front, so if you use 9" ET 40 will be just fine.

Aren't the offsets stamped on the inside of the rim? It mightbe covered by brake dust.
