Will a first gen. transmishion fit on a second gen 13b engine

Will a first gen. transmishion fit on a second gen 13b engine

i want to get a second gen 13b engine and i was wondering if the 13b will fit right on to the 12a tranny

Nope, on the other hand a gsl-se tranny would fit your 13b cause you know...their both 13b's

Actually, yes they do. I currently have a 79' transmission on a s5 13b.

Yup...got a '85 13B trans on my 12A....it all depends on the flywheel and clutch used.

yup also used a 12a tranny on a S4 motor with no problems.....just gotta use a NA flywheel because the 12a bellhousing is to small for the turbo flywheel.... I used a stock 86 flywheel with no vibiration problems... this was recomended to me by Hayes rotary and it worked, if not get an aftermarket lightened one..hope this helps
