Will 225x50x16 fit on a FC with aftermarket 16x7 wheels?
Hi, I am planning to buy a new set of Enkei 16x7 wheels. My question is about the rubber. I was going to go with the stock 205/55/16 inch look, but then I want to go a little wider now. Would 225/50/16 fit without rubbing in the front? Right now my car has stock suspension, but in a month, i will have Eibach springs and KYB shocks all around. Please tell me if those 225/50/16 wll fit or not. thanks. ( I plan to get Kuhmo for tires)

What year FC do you have?? 86 to 88 or 89 could only fit 205/55/16 on the front due to the tire rubbing on the coil spring. The 89 and up had a different setup to where you could fit these wider tires and wheels. I have an 86GXL and is fitted with 205/55/16's front and 225/50/16's rear, and eibach's on all 4 and no rubbing. If you have the newer model FC, I know you can fit at least 225/50/16's front and maybe even 245/45/16's,,but I'm not sure about that..I know there is no problem in the rear with that size. As for 16x7 rims, I would NOT put anything wider than a 225/50/16 because it doesn't look all that cool, you may want to go w/ a 16x7.5 or 16x8 for it to fit well, in turn anything wider than 16x7 may rub on front w/ over a 225 size tire..Good luck!
