widebody offset question

widebody offset question

Whatd everyones opinion on 17x7 +18 on front with coil overs 17x8 back +32 with 235/40s and 255/40s on back? It will be on my 89 gxl.

The fronts probably will be closer to stock looking than "widebody." What is the point of a 7" stuffed with 235s? You may was well go 17x9 +18 with those. That will be far more of the look you are going for. Even a 17x8 +30 to +18 (if you can find any that low) would be better. Rear would be fine under stock fenders. Gonna be sunken like crazy with them. Again, thats a ton of tire on that size. Look more in the 17x9 dept.

those arent widebody setups at all. what kinda widebody are you talking about? 20mm or 50mm front fenders? 50mm rears?
you'll most likely want a 10" wide wheel in the +10 offset area

You can fit 8" wheels in front and 9" wheels in the rear EASILY under stock fenders, if that's as big as you want, then don't bother with the widebody.

Also keep in mind that going wider in the rear will make the car understeer.
