adjusting Ohlins?

Yes, I'm riding on Ohlins and find it soaks up the small stuff nicely but handles very flat, vertually no body roll. I'm also on Presedeo springs which I find ride too low. Actually both front bump stops have blown, which brings me to my question.

How are Ohlins adjusted?

They don't have the typical threaded adjustment as you usually get with high performance struts but it has indented rings as 1/4" centers on the shaft.

Anyone else using these struts?

Can't seem to find any info on them!

Post a picture and I bet we could figure it out. I suspect that there is some adjustment available for ride height that you just aren't seeing. Like that you can move the lower mount on the bottom of the shock or something. Even a picture from a web site or something, as long as they are the same shocks you have.

Yeah that's very similar to what I have.
I coundn't find any way of adjusting them and talked to some performance shops which said they weren't adjustable so I ended up changing my springs back to standard so it can pass vehicle inspection. Rides more comfortably around town, but performance no doubt will have dropped off.

When you put standard springs on did it bring the ride height up a lot? or was it still quite low?

Im trying to find out if Ohlins struts lower the car even if you have standard springs

Actually I swapped springs and shocks all in one go. The car is in a workshop at the moment as I was having a/c probs. Been there a while actually.
I have some old standard shocks in the shed so I've measured them from the spring base to the bottom connecting bolt. I've measured directly from the underside of the spring which is sitting on a 5mm rubber seat.

measurements were taken from the lowest point of spring (underside).

Rear 225mm

Front 298mm

Add 10mm to each of these for the other side.

Hope this is of some help. I'm interested to know how it compares so please let me know what the Ohlins measure.

I think these struts were only sold to the Japanese market. Is yours a Japanese model?

Finally got around to looking at the Ohlins since it's warmer now. They are fully adjustable!!! So much for the performance shops I went to and to me otherwise.

The bottom plate is held in place by an o-ring in the grooves (as I suspected!). Just need to reduce the tension on the plate and adjust up or down, then move the o-ring spring (!) to the groove you want.

Though I can't see any grooves on your struts, so either it's on the lowest setting or there aren't any grooves.

my ohilns have 5 ride hieght adjutment and 24 dampening adjutment..

to adjust dampeing in the bottom of the front shock you will find a small screw which is hand turnabale

for ride height as along as your shock has intended rings on it you can adjut it ..compress the spring..move the lower spring seat up rmove sanp ringto next desired level.

Hello you all, I can tell you how to adjust you Ohlins damping, Just stick a hex key into top of the shaft, turn to clockwise until it stop( that mean full stiff), after that turn back counter clockwise to soft up the shock. it just like yellow koni. hope it help
