My Tokico's were about $430 shipped. This was a few years ago.

What springs are you planing on? The Racing Beat springs didn't work well with those shocks.

BTW- The city attorney didn't even let me finish my story before saying case dismissed. Didn't have to go to trail or explain why the ticket was wrong.

That is awesome Jack, I go in two weeks. Think I should still stick with the "just passing through" story?
By the way, I have the eibach springs.

They have no proof that you weren't just passing through "on your way home from fishing in Pearlington, MS."

I have the RB springs with the Tokico's on my FD, and have not had any problems. Why do you say they don't work well together? Which RX-7 did you have trouble with them on?

Thanks,

David

I have K2RD.com coilovers (400/250 springs), AGX's, and c/c plates and love them. The shocks were only $350 and are 4 way up front and 8way out back.

You may want to check out the AGX's also.

Vintage Red Touring,

I had the Tokicos with RB springs on an FD. I had a lot of problems with hitting the bump stops. A big part of the problem is New Orleans streets are horrible. If I still lived in Dallas I think they would have worked ok for me.

My front bump stops were torn to hell after 6 months and the rear would occasionally hit the bump stops in big sweeping turns.

Jack

Jason - Tell them you took Old Gentilly to get to the high rise and avoid the stop lights on Chef Hwy. If they ask why not I-10, say you take this short cut all the time and it's faster with less traffic hassles (I often do take this route during the day when I-10 is fully of traffic).

I'd stress the point that folks with work ID's didn't have their papers checked and the police were rude when you tried to explain that you were passing through.

If you have to go to trail, ask the officer "Did you witness me spectating the races?" They have the purden of proof to prove you in fact commited the offense.

Remember to point out that the cop who wrote your ticket probably didn't show up until after we were detained for 30 minutes. Also, point out to them that you overheard the supervisor instruct the troops (eight or more patrol units that I can remember counting) to "write them all tickets".

I could probably keep going, call me before you go to court. Screw giving this city anymore money for nothing.
