Question Wheels 4x110 convert to 4x114?

Ive been hearing rumors that u can bore out a 4x110 wheel to make it fit into a 4x114 lug pattern, Is this true and if it is how do you do this.
Thanks.

It may be possible to redrill the wheel(s) with the desired stud pattern offset from the original one. This means you would have 8 holes on the wheels. The 4 old ones which will be unused and the 4 new ones. It will depend on the specific wheel if it can be done or not. It could potentially be dangerous so ask a proffesional and have them do the work.

That is just begging for a wheel failure. The hub area around the holes is reinforced to handle the stresses, if you drill the wheel for another pattern, it'll almost certainly be seriously structurally compromised.

Buy wheels that fit the car, or if there's no other option and the offsets allow it, maybe use a bolt pattern changing spacer.
