New to Forum and was wondering if any of you had experience with aggressive wheel and tire fitments. I have lowered about 1" Racing Beat springs and want to purchase 18x10 rear RO_JA2-5's. Suggested tire is 265-35-18, but would like to go to 275-35 or even 285-30's. Anyone break their knuckles on this already and suggestions where not to treat without mods on fenders???

 

You can run 285/30s on an 18x10 with an offset between +43 and +50, with no modifications. You can go down to a +38 or so with fender rolling.

You may need aftermarket trailing arms to clear the inside of the wheel, especially as you get closer to +50 offset.

 

THe offset is 40, think 275-35's will work? How about 285-30's without any mods? It is lowered about 1".

 

It depends on the brand. A wider 275/35 may rub, a 285/30 almost certainly will.

 

also, FWIW...
its more likely that the 275/35 might be a half inch taller than a 285/30 so you gain almost a quarter inch more clearance with a 285/30 even if the 285/30 is barely wider, it will be shorter and thus give you more room, if that makes any sense
