Wheel Tire advice, plz help!
I have a 93FD on stock suspension. I would like to reserve the right to lower it a little someday. With that said I want a set of Advan TCII's like the ones pictured here: http://www.gruppe-s.com/Advan/advantc2.htm
Can I run 17x9.5 all around? Or should I go 8.5 front?
What if I go with 18's? What offsets?
Thanks a ton,
Jason - Seattle
P.S. I did a ton of searches and the more that I read the more confused I got. Sorry if this has already been covered, I just want to be absolutely sure before I drop 2 grand on wheels.

That particular wheel has pretty low offsets for an FD.
The best (really only) setup for that wheel would be 17x8.5 +37 offset fronts, 17x9.5 +35 offset rears. Tires would be 235/45 front and 265/40 rear. You will almost definitely rub up front with the typical lowering springs entering driveways, hitting large bumps, etc.
I would try looking for a another wheel that has more FD-friendly offsets. There are a few large threads about wheel fitment in the suspension archives (make sure you set to view from the beginning). With a $2000 budget, there are many suitable wheels that should match your aesthetic requirements as well as being light.
