wheel set up and sizes

I looked over the chart that's stickied, but I'm having trouble understanding everything.

Can someone give me good measurements for 17 inch wheels. My fd is 100% for street and on stock r1 suspension. I absolutely do not want to touch my fenders, just want something more aggressive than stock especially in the rear. Open to both square or staggered (same wheel diameter, different tire width)

Thank you!

My advice to you is to roll the front fenders, at least a little. Unless you go very aggressive, you won't have to do anything in the rear. Then you can go just about any fitment you like. A decent not overly aggressive setup is around +40 to +43 17x9. You can then put a little spacer on the rear so you have the ability to rotate tires but a little more aggressive stance.

I really don't want to touch the fenders and would really settle for even a slight increase in the front in just more worried about the rear as there is notenough rubber back there

What specifically are you after? Aggressive look? More traction?

The reason I ask is that you may just need a better tire choice. A skinnier but very sticky tire is going to provide better grip than a wider non-sticky tire. If you are after the aggressive look, just roll the front fenders and move on. To be honest, I'm surprised any 3rd Gen RX7's are still out there without the front fenders rolled at least a little.

I am after a bit more of an aggressive look, while still maintaining functionality. I currently have the stock 16s, with Goodyear eagles 225/50.

I am going to be going for 17 inch wheels, and want something to fill out the back especially, and was not sure if having a square set up is more ideal than staggered and thus wanted to know a good sizing set up

You should be able to run Enkei PF01 SS 17x9 +48 all around with 245/40 or 255/40 tires without touching fenders. Could go with 17x9 +35 in back to bring them out a bit more, but not up front.
Or you could go with PF01 (non-SS) in 17x8.5 +40 up front with 245/40, but 255s would probable rub the fender lip (they did on mine). Might want to run some front camber to mitigate risk of rubbing.
Understand the desire not to roll. Easy to end up with cracked paint and some waviness at the lip, even done professionally. There are options that don't require this.

I know you mentioned those specific enkei's. First are those sizes only going to work on those wheels? Also what is (SS) the three wheels in decoding between are enkei rpf1, volk re30 and ssr type c. Will any of those still work with 17 x 9 or only the ones you mentioned?
