What tires and tires sizes you running? They look like all-season mud-dawgs or something

caught me, they're Pirelli P7000 Super Sport 245/45-17 and 275/40-17.

next week, I'm replacing them with a set of BFGoodrich
g-Force T/A KDW

I use higher treadwear tires because of the negative camber and toe I have setup for autocross. Eats through tires.

Ahh Hahhh!

FWIW those tire sizes are too tall. The tall sidewalls give them away...they almost look like the 16-inch stock tires!

Next time try 235/45-17 and 265/40-17 or 245/40-17 and 255/40-17

Are you referring to the overall diameter being larger than stock? If so, that's intentional and the speedo reads closer to reality than the stock size pessimistic reading.

..or the possibility of rubbing in the front (which does occur if my shocks are set too soft)?

Re: too tall for what?

Yes...both...

I didn't know the stock overall diameters were pessimistic?

I'm surprised you don't get rubbing up front with 245/45-17s.

FWIW, I run the same sizes with Hoosier R3S03s on my 8.5 fr and 9.5 rr x 17 SSR Comps. The overall diameters of cheater slicks are much shorter at 25.3 inches each size, though.

I do when I drive too aggresively or hit a nasty grade/bump when turning. Next time, I'll definitely reconsider sizes.

You can use pics of my car if you want.

The rims I have are FR17 by Simmons Australia. They come in ANY offset or PCD you request.

I personally love any white rims. If you do a search on posts of mine, I took someones red car with a REALLY nice set of white rims, and had someone photochop it black for me. Boy did it look nice.

YayeR, go here http://www.discounttiredirect.com/ click on "wheels" (after they reboot their broken *** server) and you can actually see what all their wheels look like on a black RX-7.

Same with tirerack.com. I have a black fd and would consider some silver OZ Superleggras. They are light and moderately priced.

Eventually I plan on getting the Volk SE37Ks in black.

Black on black looks great in my opinion. I do not know what the rims are on the car in the pic but it gives you an idea of how black on black looks.
