I've been running my Comps with the decals and no centercap...I almost didn't recognize your Comps.

Which sizes did you pick?

What tire sizes?

The 18s will be available in the same widths as the 17s, with probably the same 42-mm offset. Hmmm....I tend to think white Volk TE37s or SE37Ks will look good on a white FD, but...

Hmmm...strange, since the width doesn't change, only the diameter, which has no effect on offset...?

Can someone gimme an idea of what the CCW's go for? Also Im leaning towards 17x8.5F and 17x9.5 R (especially since I already have the tires sitting in my garage!) Are they available in those sizes?

TIA!

You need to go direct with CCW. I just spoke to John to try and see if they have a dealer program. They do not. Please give him a call.

17's around $1750 and 18's around $1850.00. Just estimating, may vary depending on widths needed.

thanks, rishie

Pics of my FD with new 18 inch Volk TE-37's. Not Dial-up friendly

Ok well I finally got the tires mounted and put on the car today. I am running Bilstein Struts with H&R springs. The wheels are Volk TE-37's 18x9.5R and 18x8.5F. Tires are Bridgestone S-03's 285/30/18 in rear and 255/35/18 in front. The fronts do rub the fender liner when I hit bumps. I may be able to fix some of the rubbing by filing down the bolt that holds the fender liner up as its doing some of the rubbing up front. The rears seem to be clearing under load with no problems at all. Plenty of room on stock trailing arms as well. They look very impressive in person.

Looks nice!

Most people remove the screw at the top of the fender well that holds the fender liner on to avoid rubbing. I've had mine out for quite a while and it doesn't cause any problems.

Wheel database with PICS

We don't sell anything! Wanted to let everyone know about the new wheel site. It's a free database with pics and specs.

We've been working on this for 6+ months and continue working everyday uploading specs, models, brands, and images. We openly invite specific questions in the forums, but please don't swamp us with "what is this wheel" questions since it'll probably be in the database soon enough. We ask that "what fits my car" questions be delayed until we've got the RIDES section up and running also.

We already have a ton of data on newer wheels, but we definitely need help getting pics and specs for the older and/or discontinued wheels, so if you have something like that - POST IT IN THE FORUMS with pics and specs, please.
www.wheelspecs.com/forums

The "RIDES" section is in the works which should clear up fitment questions. This will be a great place to show everyone your car and should eliminate the need for personal car pages with those pesky pop-ups. Unlike the "showy" sites, we'll be glad to have anyone and everyone upload their pics and info. Hopefully, the RIDES section should be ready within a couple weeks.

A search is already setup to show ebay auctions for the wheel model you're viewing. We'll be adding a classifieds section soon too so finding used wheels that fit won't be so hard.

Hopefully this site will eliminate the tired forum questions:
"What is this wheel?"
"What fits my car?"

The site development time and cost has all been out of pocket so we welcome advertisers.

We hope you enjoy using the site.
Zero popups!
