Wheel offset for WORK wheels?

I already did a search for this thread. I want to know what offset will work for a 94 RX7. I am planning to go with 17x8 front and 17x9 rear. Here is the link.

42 (front) and 44 (rear). BTW, have you gotten that car legally registered, yet?

Get 9 x 17, 44-mm offset all around with 255/40-17. These wheels look like they have high pads, which means plenty of front brake caliper clearance with 44 offset.

I wouldn't fool with 8 wides for front if 9 wides are available in 44 mm offset. The stockers are 8 wides. No real net gain in performance with 8 x 17.

All kinds of reasons to go with same size all around. Rotation flexibility, neutral handling balance are just a couple of good reasons to stay with same size all around.

Don't worry about lip. These wheels aren't designed to have noticeable rim lips.

BTW, get Bronze. White would look awful.

What do these wheels weigh? They look lightweight. Decent price too.

The car is insured and I get a 30 day permit each month from the DMV. The Police and the Nevada Highway Patrol never say anything, I have had no problems and nobody give's me any trouble. The only thing is I only have liability insurance now, I have to find somebody that will do full coverage.

Thanks for the reply SleepR1, And yes I am going to get the Bronze wheels. Looks like 17x9 with 44mm offset. Thanks again.

The weight per wheel for the 17x9 is about 21-22 lbs.

Not bad. Those will be very strong wheels at that weight. Other wheel weights in that same size and price range you're going for:

-SSR Integral A2, 19 lbs
-Racing Spraco NT-R, 17 lbs
-5Zigen FN01R-C, 18 lbs

These are all plain five-spoke wheels.

At 21-22 lbs/wheel, go with Pirelli P-Zero Asimmetricos in 255/40-17. They're only 23 lbs. That will keep your wheel/tire weight down to 45 lbs which is par for the course, if you want your wheel/tire combo to be considered "light" relative to its contact patch size.
