Wheel Offesets
Hey Everyone
I am buying a set of 17x9.5 for the front. However I don't know what offset I need for a FD. The options are this:+15, 22, 28, 34, 35, 40, 42, 47 So I am not sure. If another question if I decide to run 18's and not 17's can I run a 18x10.5 in the rear or is that to big for an FD? Please let me know Thanks

im not smart about offsets or anything but i think you can run any offset has long as its the right bolt pattern..correct me if im wrong. the 18+9.5 will fit but i think you gotta pull your fenders. my friend has 19+10 on his S14 in rear and he only pulled his fenders. hope this helps.

JunTsung, your answers are in the wheel fitment spreadsheet that is a sticky, as well as the huge thread in the archives.

I concur, offset is the most import part of wheel sizing. It is the difference that makes one 19x10 work and another not allow the car to move or destroy a fender.
As for the wheel choices, 47mm would be the lowest offset to consider. Higher would be better for a 9.5.

Our wheels that are 18x10 with a 45mm offset are pretty close to the fender. Any wider or lower of an offset would get real close to needing to roll the fenders as Rynberg stated. I also run very little camber in the rear so the top of my wheels may be out further than others. I do this for straight line traction. What size tire do you plan on putting on the 10.5. This will also make a difference.
A 50mm offset would be safer as it would move the whole extra 1/2 inch to the inside. By doing a 10.5 et45. your wheel will be a 1/4 inch out further than mine. This is why it gets real close to the fender. Tire size and camber might be the difference between light rub and no rub. you should be able to make it work.
