Wheel fitment question

I am looking at a set of rims that didnt fit right on a supra so know the guy is selling them. The wheels are 17x9 and 17x10 with a 6 1/8 back spacing. I am no expert on wheel and I was wondering if these would work on a FD without any issues. Would I need to run spacers?

Thanks in advance,
Charlie

6.125" backspacing for front and rear wheels?
backspacing takes into account the lip of the wheel which is past the wheel width, so on a 10" wheel you need to think of it as 10.5" at least for when you measure backspacing and try to get an offset from those numbers.
thats like 10.5-6.125inward=4.375outward of centerline
10.5/2 = 5.25 to the centerline
5.25-4.375outward=.875 positive offset
.875" = +22mm offset

and for the 17x9 wheels you are looking at 1.875 = +47 offset

the fronts would fit fine but the rears would stick out a lot more than most FD guys would choose... but depending on your preferenc and tire size choice you may want to go with them, I dunno... 245/40R17 all around on those wheels might be ok for you.

Well the guy mentioned that the lip on the rear is 4 inches. I just trying to get a visual here and decide if I want them or not..Ill get a description of the item later on today..I did plan to run flares in the rear.

Thanks for your help though.

Taken from the ad.

The front are 17x9 and rear are 17x10 with a 5x114mm bolt pattern. They measure 10" from lip to lip in the front and 11" in the rear. When measuring Bead to bead, they are 9" and 10". Both front and rear have approximately a 6 1/8 inch backspacing. The rear have an awesome 4" lip!!! I bought them for my 96 Toyota Supra turbo but am reselling them because they did not clear the TT front brakes. I believe they originally came off a 98 Mustang Cobra. When I test fit them on my 96 supra, the rear fit great. The fronts would need approximately 15mm thick spacers to clear the TT front brakes. Fikse used bolt on spacers to adjust the offset.
