Wheel fitment help! Kosei K1 4x110 15x8!
Hey y'all. Found myself some K1s in 4x110, the only local wheel option I have that isn't super expensive, and exists. I drive an 82 GS with 4x110 patterns, the wheel is the same. I'm just wondering if i should get spacers of some sort as I don't want the wheel to be rubbing up on the well, spring, struts, etc. I'm certain 15x7 is stretching it but I have seen them on a FB before. In fact here's a picture! I would like to know based on everyone's experience, if it will fit fine, and if I need to buy any spacers (and new studs).
Thanks!!
Edit: typo, I meant 15x7!

Kosei's should be marked on the back for offset. I have 15x7 +38 and they fit with coilovers, street 205's and 1" spacer/adapters (to 4x100). They also just barely clear with Hoosier 205's. You can do the calcs yourself with the 15x8, but I am pretty sure you will need spacers.

You said 15x7 runs fine on yours? I did a typo, I meant 15x7. I intend to get those TTT weld ons or GT weld ons eventually, you think with 195 on the rear will fit? This came from a Civic owner so he's got 195s in the front and 185s in the rear. Though I'm not sure on the tire situation, might be that I'll get 185s for both because he'll need it for his other wheels. Right now I just have stock suspension, what thickness of a spacer do you think I should get?
Thanks!!

Sorry the ARE's went before you could get back to me. It worked out well for me though since the BMW guy was local.
I had to edit my post right after I sent it. I actually have 1" spacers/adapters which allow the +38 wheels to work. My spacer actually also adapts the wheel bolt pattern to 4x100 so I can share wheels between my ITA RX7 and Spec Miata. The adapter lets you buy all the miata/honda wheels available. I use adapter/spacers from adaptitusa.com. They are basically $50 ea (spacer or adapter is the same cost). With 1" wide spacers I would go with the bolt-on type that adaptitusa makes.
For reference the offset that works for 7" wide wheels is +12.5mm. There is obviously some slop in that number but that is what the ARE's were.
So regardless of 185, 195 or 205 you will need a spacer for +36 (or 38)

Heya Carl! Good to see you again. Would have taken you on the offer for yours but that BMW owner got it before my paycheck tomorrow... Which is as fat as a pig!!!

Alright. So, I would need a 1" spacer? I'll check them out. Has wear increased by any chance? And the wheel and tire will fit in the well, or will I need to.... Roll.... A... Fender...?

You should not have a problem with fitting the wheel and tire in the well. 205's are closer to needing rolling, but 195's or 185's should be no problem at all.
The spacer does not affect wear on either the tire or wheel bearings. It just puts the wheel and tire where it is supposed to be. If you push the wheel outside the fenders, like some truck-guys like to do, then you will increase the wear on your wheel bearings and could screw up alignment enough to increase your tire wear.
The one inch spacers will require the right length wheels studs. The bolt on will require shorter studs. I think I had to use 1" studs with the 1" spacer, but I do not remember for sure. The studs cannot stick out past the face of the spacer otherwise the wheel will not sit square. If you use the simple "sandwich" spacer (I am not even sure you can buy them that thick) you will need really long studs to fit through the spacer and the wheel.
I hope that helps.
