Nothing really, unless you're doing some serious tracking. For street and occasional autocross, they're good. Quiet, good on rotors, low dust, etc.

For improved autocross stopping power I would try Hawk HPS or HP+. I currently have HP+, and they slow the car down very well. They have good initial bite when cold, and you'd have to really abuse your brakes to get them to fade at the autocross.

The HP+ does dust a lot though, so I think I'm going to switch out to HPS.

I hope I didn't mislead you into buying the R4Es for street. I always recommend the Type RS pads to any FD owner looking for a good street pad that's trackable. I'm still using the R4Es on the street, and am too damned tired to swap them out until after my May 8/9 Mid Ohio DE...

HeHe, thats ok. I dont think I can loose that kind of money when I havent even opened the box yet. They cost $219 shipped for all 4

Well, I dont really think you were "misleading" me. Maybe we were just misunderstanding eachother. I was under the impression that you thought they were a real good street pad since you spoke highly of them and drive they daily. I didnt realize you hated driving them daily haha

Oh well, since I'm not going to get much for them maybe I'll try using them but I hate to wear out my new rotors hmmmm decisions decisions haha

BTW - Did you have to bed them in and all that? What process did you use?

STEPHEN

Yeah, take a few moderate stops, and then let them cool down. After that, they're ready to go.

I still have the R4Es on now. I'm listening to my stereo to mask the squealing noise LOL
