What is your offset on your aftermarket wheels??

I am buying a set of 17 inch Racing Hart C2`s and the offset is.
Front: 36
Rear: 41

Does that sound OK if I have 255/40/zr17 tire on the front and 275/40/Zr 17 on the rear??

Will they fit OK?

What are the offsets on your FD?

Thanks

You need to find the what the correct offsets are for your car for that particular rim; what offsets other people are running with other aftermarket rims don't necessarily apply. For example the recommended offsets for Volk TE37 are +40 whereas the recommended offsets for the Volk GT-N are +35/+37. The range of FD offsets are anywhere from +35 to +50 depending on the design of the rim, but if I were to just guess, I would think those Racing Hart C2's should fit. At worst, he fronts may rub the inside fender liner a little but the rears should have no problem.

"Brrrrrrrrrmmmmmm....."

That's the sound of your left-front tire rubbing your LF fender lip during right hand turns...

Rears will be ok, but 275 is too tall for proper rear-end gearing.

Hope you have at least 9 and 10-inch wide wheels for the 255 and 275-mm widths, fr/rr, respectively...

I don't understand why you folks are buying stuff without educating yourselves first!

Your wheel/tire dealer SHOULD be helping you with fitment; otherwise what the hell good are they??!!

Ric,

You'll need to track test that new wheel/tire setup on June 28 at Putnam Park! What tires did you go with?

Congrats on being an instructor at G-man. I haven't been there since 2000 (snow-covered event in April with Speed Trial). I'll see about the May 27 event. Does CGI provide corner workers?

Look forward to running with you soon...

2 corner worker and one at the main straight working race control. We have never had an incident and this seems to work very well. spots are filling up fast so if you can come hurry and sign up.

Just finished Mid Ohio Region PCA Mid Ohio Driver Ed. Chased a black/green 993 Porsche racer belonging to a Chicago husband wife team called Fat Dog Racing...husband was driving...Cool couple (wife was named Nikki?).

We were nose-to-tail through Mid O's Ses turning 1:49s...absolute blast...then I broke my front sway bar...scared the sh*t out if me coming out of turn 13, as the R1 suddently violently oversteered. The R1 was undriveable, so packed up and went home with one hot session left to go...great DE...

Car needs repairs on the sway bar and LR suspension bushing...probably WON'T make it to Gingerman...will be pushing to make June 7th Friday evening MDC @Putnam Park...

See you some time...
