285/30 is the widest you should go. I would suggest a 245/35 for the front even though it's not reccommended on an 8" wheel all the time.

I'd really suggest going 235/40 and 275/35 for the setup you have.

275 is not too small for a 10" wide rim? how about 245,40 18 front and 285,35,18 rear? do i need to roll my fender on the rear?

Most tire spec sheets say 9-11" for a 275. Tires work better on a rim that is toward the wide side of their range. 285/35/18 might be a little too tall. 275/35 oughta be just about perfect.

Actually 275/35-18 is also too tall.

295/30-18 is really the best match with regard to overall tire diameter...it's ~25 inches. You will need a 10.5 or 11-inch wide wheel for a 295/30-18...That's the size I'd get in back...

Up front I'd do 255/35-18 tire size which is also 25 inches in overall tire diameter. I'd use a 9.5-inch wide rim for the 255/35-18 tire for maximum sidewall support.

The problem with that Manny are his wheel widths. Would you reccommend him putting the sizes you've mentioned on those wheels? I doubt you would so I think we go back to my closest to the best thing and that's a

235/40 and 275/35 or 265/35 to math O.D. w/235. I understand the 275 is too tall but what can you do.

I run 265/35 on my 18,10's for my bimmer. Check it out. I think they look incredibly phat.

Ahhh...I didn't see that he has 8s and 10s to work with...in that case I agree 100% with your tire sizing...235/40-18 on 8 x 18 and 265/35-18 on 10 x 18...tire overall diameters are just about the same at 25.4 and 25.3 fr/rr, respectively...sorry for not reading closely, Rishie
