Question What are the negative aspects of using aftermarket trailing arms?

I have a "clunk" at low speed shifts/turns, and this is almost as much as replacing the pillowball bushings. Now, what are the negatives of using after market trailing arms (such as the RX7store ones)?

They can be more noisy, and need to be cleaned and lubricated frequently. Otherwise the ball joints will wear out. On the other hand they are less expensive than stock and provide a much tighter feel at the rear of the car.

How frequently do you need to clean and lubricate them?
