What does staggered wheels mean?

Hello

I nothing about wheels. What does Staggered wheels mean? What's the difference between a Staggered Wheel and one thats not? I read a post that Staggered is not good for the FD is that true?

Thanks

staggered rims means different widths front and rear.

I've also read that it could mean different offsets front and rear. Either way, lots of people run them. Hell, late model factory FDs had them stock.

Staggered looks awesome on an FD with the rear wheels being wider then the front. Gives it that aggressive look. However, if you plan to track the car, non-staggered is better. I have staggered street rims and non-staggered track rims.

thanks guys

Hello

Thanks guys for the explanation. I ask because I am looking for wheels. I wont track the car and aside from the wheels it is all stock.

I am looking at a set with
18 x 8 with 38mm offset for fronts
18 x 8.5 with 38mm offset for rears

thanks now I know why the are Staggered 8 in front and 8.5 rears.

the down side is that you can't rotate your tires as normal.
