Arrow What is the current consensus on street only pads w/OEM equipment?

Want to get a set of pads for the front and back on stock rotors and calipers.

I read a bit of disagreement with the popular pads ie EBC green, Hawk HP+,and the Porterfield R4S. (are these aftermarket pads superior in every way to stock pads?)

From what I can tell the EBC Greens seem to fit my needs very well.
But there seem to be a few people that apparently have used them and claim they are no good!?!

How do the EBC Greens measure up against the stock pads?

Stock VS EBC Green for dusting?

It seems as if the stock pads are more linear when they do get abused and hot, but I feel it is very unlikely that this will be an issue for me. Are these reports accurate, and what level of abuse are they inferring that brake fade will appear?

Stock VS EBC Green for noise?

Stock VS EBC Green for rotor wear?

Stock VS EBC Green for replacement intervals?

Anything else people can say about the EBC Green VS stock pads?

Why do people feel the need to go to the EBC Green for street use over the stock pads? Is there some factor that makes people want the EBC Green over the stock pads? Is it simply to “upgrade" the system, or are there some real factors that people are trying to solve?
TIA

Also wondering what the feel is like VS stock pads?
If I were to describe the stock pads they seem a little hesitant and unsure, almost twitchy.

Do the greens have more “bite” than a stock pad, grab with a little more authority?

Also is it advisable to have a rotor “cleaned up” even if the face looks to be in perfect condition? No scoring or grooving and appears to be very flat ect.?

Also wondering why the green seems to be the popular choice here rather than the red?

The red is stated that it “may” (which to me means it will) be a noisy pad if not always, probably when first used , and it seems when moisture is present and or if it is cold.

These will be used in Oregon (not exactly known for their great weather! Heck its raining and 40* right now )

Cold and wet !?! Is this specifically why the green is preferred over the red? Even though EBC seems to push for the red over the green for “For heavier faster cars and vehicles above 200bhp we strongly recommend Redstuff which DOES offer much less dust.”

Anyone using the red and can make any argument for green VS red?

No one has anything to say good/bad/indifferent about one of the seemingly most recommended street pads here?

If these question have been answered thoroughly for a street only application before could you please lead me to the thread specifically?

For as many recommendations go around for these EBC Greens, I would have thought any number of people would have had something descriptively good/bad to say about them for each point in detail?

I'm running Axxis Utlimate's on the street because that's what came w/ my StopTech kit and will probably never wear out. If they do, I'll pronably downgrade to Axxis Deluxe, as they are supposed to dust less. The ultimates are quiet and stop well.
