Just got a set of Tein coilover shocks that i put on my second gen, dont know what spring rates it came with but it rides hard as hell, seems to be very unstable at top speed ,i need to get me some different springs that dont ride that hard ,i use ther car at the tracks some times.I need to know what spring rates to get for the front and rear and what brand is about the best.Thanks.

First you need to know what the current spring rates are. Otherwise you can't possibly know what rates you want to switch to...

i recommend Tein model HA coilovers which happen to be the lowest cost model they make... my reason for liking the HA model is that it alone has acceptable spring rates. the more expensive RAs etc have way too high rates. i have both a shock dyno and the electronic (read accurate/expensive) spring tester and have done lots of research on the subject. if you can check with Tein and post the spring rate of your setup i can help you. i do suggest you check to see that your shocks, if adjustible, are not set too stiff. Tein shocks can be set toward full hard and can break your front windshield... as to unstable at high speed... check your toe. it should be just a hair less than 1/8th inch. also your camber (front end) should be equal on both sides and around 1.5 negative. tire pressure should be about 29 front and 27 rear set cold.
let us know about your spring rates etc.
