Reviving this thread. Two questions:

1) Is the Zeal X series replacing the B series dampers?
2) What do you do about the brake line that attached to the OEM dampers? The Zeal's don't seem to have the necessary bracket.

Thanks,

1. The X series has replaced both the B6 and V6. I managed to order two sets of B6's for the FD by the cutoff for stock. I was gonna post them up in a week or so. They'll be here in a month if you want to reserve your spot. THe B6 will come with the X coil spring, but you get the chromoly plating.

2. ZipTies

Oh and yes the Zeals can be rebuilt and Custom Valved all at Endless USA in Huntington Beach. We do not do the overhauling we we're the distributor. They handle that side, while we work with you on the technical setup of the suspension.

The Function Xs is basically a B6 for non macpherson, and a V6/inverted for machperson vehicles. It is therefore 6 way adjustable. Custom valving is additional unless three sets are ordered at the same time with the same setup.

The Function X is a 30 way adjustable coilover and custom spring rates/valving can be requested at no additional charge in single qty orders. That's a beautiful thing.

I think FD spring rates are

9/8
or
11/10

These are the two options. I always bring the 11/10 simply because they still ride SOO GOOD in comparison to other coils for the FD I've driven on. I think the 9/8 might be too soft, but that depends on your taste.

Thanks! A few more questions:

1) So if the X are the new model, is there any reason why I might want the soon-to-ve-discontinued B series instead?

2) Are there any model of Zeal where the compression and rebound are independently adjustable?

The B6 is the last of the Blingtastic Chromoly plated casings. Internally they are the same as a Function Xs.

AS of right now we do not have a double adjustable for the FD. So sorry.

Don't mean to break in on this thread but JIC customer service has been excellent. Have had no issues with them or the quality of the product. Car is tracked often.

I'll go with my personal history with them and the countless complaints they have had. Maybe they had a reawakening once we refused to work with them anymore. The issue we had a couple years ago were faulty dampers prematurely leaking. It's good that they have turned around if that's the case.

THE 90 DAY WARRANTY THEY HAD ALSO KILLED IT FOR ME. I'd rather go with a company that has been concerned about their reputation from DAY 1. The only times I've seen them offer good customer service is after the fact a customer complains and starts throwing a fit on boards or something. Being LOCAL HELPS A LOT TOO. If you are remote, bad experiences. I have not even tried to work with them for 2 years now and don't have intentions too because I was severely rubbed the wrong way and incurred some serious losses because they did not keep their word. If they have changed that's awesome.

Not sure why anyone would spend over $2k on coilovers for a street car. Teins are fine for the street and at about half the price. Most people are looking for the height adjustability and a decent ride, thats it. You want a cushy ride go buy a Cadillac.

Yeah I heard alot of good stuff bout Kei Office, but they are rare, and because of that a little pricey...

I'm still gonna go with the Zeal B6 model tho...I can't afford the the price of the new ones just cauze my job place is closing down in a 3 month period, but if someone has a used set they can depart with and sell to me, Im all ears...I'm starting to hate all the bouncing that the stock suspension does...
